Social Media in Action! …

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Karen McCalla and Debra Gardner-Baasch will share lessons that utilize social media to create student-designed service learning projects. In addition to addressing all the NETS-S standards, the Social Media in Action course explores the question: “How can social media transform education and connect students both locally and globally?”
As part of a semester course, students created interactive websites, learned to use social media tools, developed their online presence, and designed personally meaningful service-learning projects. During this workshop, students will present their projects and share their experiences.
