Engaging Students with Augmented Reality (Harry Potter Move Over!) (Hands-On Double Session)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

What is augmented reality and how in the world can you use it? If you have ever seen Harry Potter’s newspaper come alive, watched a movie where they show you the perspective of a robot with information in front of his eyes or learned about Google Glasses, then you have had a glimpse of augmented reality! In this workshop, we will explore what augmented reality is and how it can be useful in the classroom. The presenter will share with you some projects she has done with her class and you will make your own augmented reality channel. Bring your smart phone (download the Aurasma app in advance) and a laptop to this session in order to participate fully.
