Project Based Learning with ARIS - Engaging Students by Pairing Authentic Game Creation with Real World Learning. (Hands-On Double Session)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In partnership with the Echo Aquarium in Burlington, Edmunds Middle School 6th graders used the free open-source ARIS platform to create interactive tours for the museum. The games utilize GPS, QR codes, quizzes and videos to tell interactive stories incorporating Echo exhibits. Students and educators will share their experience of the game-design and community partnership process, then attendees will have a chance to get hands-on with the ARIS platform.

Note: Please bring a laptop or chromebook to the session if possible to use the editor.  The games you create will be played on a iOS device.  Will will have a small number of devices available.
