No Summer Reading Nightmare!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Need to motivate middle school readers over the summer months? Learn how to leverage school and community connections to make summer reading an experience and not a chore. See how teachers, librarians and community members in Charlotte have worked together with the Young Writers Project, giving students time and motivation to read, connect, and create.
We have 3 years of programming to highlight what has worked well, what we've made better over the years, as well as aspects that could still use some work!

The Charlotte Library and the Charlotte Central School Library have a close working relationship, trying to complement programs and books to better serve the community. Classical Connections has been our most successful endeavor. The library has also committed itself to begin a Makers Series at the beginning of 2014, we like to think that any activity that utilizes creative thinking supports STEAM.
