Middle school students share Kamishibai presentations about the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki from American and Japanese points of view – based on primary source documents. Kamishibai is traditional Japanese storytelling using a tabletop stage and story cards. Featuring original art and writing, the project is a collaboration among ELA, art and library media teachers and encompasses national art standards as well as Common Core reading, writing, and speaking and listening standards.

A book lover who is passionate about literature, learning and educational technology injected with a heavy dose of TPACK! I love my K-8 students -- past and present -- at Folsom School. And, tennis -- here's to a life with a forehand or backhand winner from the baseline!
