Making It in Your Community

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Come and see what the kids will be making and learning this summer!
A grant from the Vermont Community Foundation was awarded for children and teens in Vermont’s public libraries to support this summer’s Collaborative Summer Library Program theme, Science. The project will create five innovative STEAM modules - E-textiles, E-Origami, Toy Hacking, Squishy Circuits, and Plastic Plankton Chandeliers, train science educators, provide equipment, and bring the programs to libraries around the state. Libraries will keep the curriculum and materials for future use.
In this session, we present the different modules. We will also share other programming happening in public libraries that supports students in their creative STEAM adventures and discuss ways to foster collaboration between schools and public libraries.
We will be presenting the STEAM Modules but not doing demos. http://steam-e-zine.com/index.php/spark-a-culture-of-innovation
