3D Printing: Teaching Students To Be Makers of Things

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

3D Printing using the Afinia 3D Printer will be the focus of this session. The topics covered will include types of 3D printers, types of 3D software, types of materials for 3D printing and how to use 3D printing in a classroom setting. Attendees will create a simple object using Tinkercad, and convert their creation into an .stl file for printing on a 3D printer, so bring your laptop!

Rodney Batschelet

Technology Specialist, Benson Village School
I am a commercial/fine artist of 30+ years (my profile avatar is one of my paintings) and technology fanatic. I have been working for the last five years to share my love of art and computer science with as many students as I can. Technology and art collide spectacularly when a 3D printer is in the mix.
