Jane Wilde is a passionate gamer, learner, teacher and flat water kayaker.

A veteran teacher of 30 years, Jane has taught in special and general education at every grade k-12. For the past 8 years her attention has been directed to teacher training and professional development. She describes her own teaching and the workshops/courses she offers as "always in a state of becoming." Excited by the intersection of technology and cognitive theory, Jane is exploring how to learn deeply through virtually authentic experience.

She is on the faculty of Marlboro College Graduate School where she teaches courses in educational technology and pedagogy. Her favorite course is called Teaching and Learning in Virtual Worlds. She also teaches instructional design courses at SUNY Albany where she is pursuing a doctoral degree. Though her gaming, research and online teaching have her behind a screen several hours each day, she finds the time to visit area ponds and lakes with her bright yellow kayak.
